Christ van den Heuvel, founder of the company started in 1960 selling and buying antique carriages. One of the sons, Henri, started with teh restauration of classical carriages The frist marathon and dressage carriages were build in the 1970's. The company is now run by the three brothers:Frits, Henri en Eric van den Heuvel

Chr. van den Heuvel & Sons imports, restores and sells antique and authentic carriages. Beside that the company designs, develops, manufactures, sells and exports carriages for competitive driving and recreation. Everything, from sturdy marathon carriages, to elegant dressage carriages to impressive park coaches and drags.

In cooperation with the Dutch Antique Carriage Driving Association a yearly competion is held amongst the amateur restaurers of antique carriage. Chr van den Heuvel is sponsor of this competition for which the Christ van den Heuevel trophy is awarded.
